ULAY FOUNDATION

The ULAY Foundation, established in the Netherlands in 2014 by the artist himself, is a beacon for preserving and promoting the historically unique oeuvre and legacy of the legendary artist, Ulay. Led by custodian Lena Pislak, the Foundation meticulously archives and contextualizes Ulay's groundbreaking work, facilitating scholarly discourse and organizing exhibitions and catalogues to ensure his artistic contributions endure.

Operating between Ulay's two cherished cities, Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Ljubljana, Slovenia the Foundation embodies the spirit of his creative journey. It proudly collaborates with esteemed galleries such as Spurs Gallery in Beijing, Sophie Tappeiner Gallery in Vienna, and Richard Saltoun Gallery in London, fostering international dialogue and appreciation for Ulay's artistry.

Moreover, the ULAY Foundation boasts a profound relationship with the Abramovič Institute, epitomizing its commitment to heritage.
